Can anyone help , ive got a mondeo now but im pretty sure the stereo is the same as was used in a scorpio . Ive got the cds stuck . Wont play or eject . Just comes up CD error ?? Any idea how i can fix this problem

Is it the 6 disc head unit? Think it's called 6006.
 
If it is, you'll need to open it up.  
 
You'll get the wee screwdriver for it from Maplin.
 
They hate printed copy cds. Plus it can drain your battery as it stays on although it looks off. The 1 hour timer doesn't work when it's jammed.

Scorpio man i think youve nailed it , it was working ok until i put in a cd that my son made for me , i think it is the 6006 model , will have a butchers atvthe handbook

Right , got the unit out but cant undo the screws , is it a special srewdriver . None of mine fit , dont want to force in in case i chew the the threads . Bloody thing

Looking at the videos it looks as if the screws could be Torx style. If so you can get a set very cheaply. Have a look There are plenty of other cheap sets about including sets for dealing with so called 'security' screws. Take the unit to the shop with you. They'll soon tell you what fitting the screws are. Wink

My ex son in law was always complaining his cd player in his car never worked but when I took it apart he had somehow got 2 cd's in it lol.
