I have just returned from holiday and my beloved Scorpio won't start. Green flag came out and got it going but tested the battery and a printout shows measured value of 155A. I have tried Halfords but they do not have flat terminal type. Can anyone suggest where I can source a suitable battery, Derby area or online. Regards jls1936

Firstly I think you may have a problem with the terminal style. However all is not lost as you can get adaptors like These. This page will also give you the details of the type and capacity of the battery you need. Do not be tempted to go for a smaller capacity because you will end up regretting it! Have a look at This page. You'd do well to check that the physical size is correct so either speak to them or compare with the current unit. Or try This site

Agreed. Very few flat terminals now and last one I got last year I had to get adaptors, but at least you only need to get them once. Again agree that the bigger the capacity the better (as long as it will fit, especially for the Cosworth.

I think they have now gone to only round battery terminals and the adaptors from halfords are very good, the brass ones. I have a very large capacity bosch battery fitted.
