Hello, new to the site have a problem with a 96 Cosworth saloon, bought as no spark at plugs and fuel pump bad, stood 6 years.

Had managed to clear a 1:6 pats error and get a spark but has come back and won’t clear now.

Could anyone locally help (s devon) would like to save the car if possible and not see it banger’d or butchered.

I take it you have read This  The most likely cause is water ingress in the connections or the fuse box.  Have you got a battery cover fitted and made sure the bulkhead drain holes are free of detritus. Is there any sign of water ingress in the passenger foot well as water will run in there and over the CCM if the grommet behind the Aux fuse box is displaced in any way and particularly if water has gathered under that box due to the drain holes being blocked.

Hello and thanks for reply, car was stored for 6 years when I bought it.
Have had an auto elec on it and thanks to the forum we did clear it once by disconnecting the pats from the eec - cleaning connections and re-connecting, seems dry inside (has battery cover) and around where you say.
Spoken with local Ford dealer but not a lot of help as to go anywhere it needs to be trailered - kinda project car you know!
Needs a lot of tlc hate to ditch it as not many left now and the expertise is hard to find.
Had loads of Grannys but these are sooo much better the 2.3 Ghia (base spec 97) I have is lovely and rare to boot.
 Thanks Roy

Is it worth trying putting new wires in between the pats module and the eec ?

Having some local & forum help here, possibly not a Pats problem or it wouldn't crank, so fingers crossed it's running soon.
Then it's the sills to sort - if I can find any.
Will update as it progresses, love to save it, I have just seen "How many left" - most depressing as these are excellent cars.

That's a relief, thanks. I was looking over my new sills today - sold as 94-98 on EBay - to answer a question from the chap who is quoting to repair them, when I spotted a label 'Scorpio/Granada 86-94', so thought I'd do a search before asking.
