Sounds like the key is worn. Try another key if you have one or get a new one cut and try that.
If no joy suggest you contact Simmo to get a way in.
What do you mean by "the boot is stripped for fixing" ?

There was a problem with the central locking and the previous owner took all the trim etc off so you can open the boot from the inside.
Will try getting a new key cut.

Bonnet, Battery won't work.
I take it you only have the one key and no fob?
If the boot is stripped is it still locked? Can you not get in via the rear seats some way?
Snoopy has a method so you'd need to PM him.

Sorted, as it wasnt double locked we had a blow up bag and a piece of welding wire.
Bit fiddly but open OK once wire purchased in the handle.
Need to get the locks rebuilt as even a new key didn't help, anyway all well that ends happy days.

 Thanks for your swift help

Just need some cooler weather now

Good to know you are in. The details of How to replace and repair the lock are here. Check out the list on the left.
In the script about removing the lock you will see that a metal tag on the lock shield has to be levered up in order to access the third bolt.
When you replace the cover be sure to break that off OR if you leave it sticking up when you go to raise the window it won't go right up because the window carrier will foul on the tag.

The tag serves no purpose so either break or grind it off. Wink
