Ignition stays on after key removed

Hi,

This topic may have been already dealt with...What happened:
A week ago the car would not start. The battery voltage was down to 6 volts. As I charged the battery I saw that after removing the ignition key the ignition and lights stayed on. Switching on and off the headlight cured the problem: the ignition was then off. However after a minute or so, the ignition from itself turned on, lights on.
I charged the battery now properly and for some curious reason this phenomenon has gone. What could it have been? Battery cover ok, engine loom ok. Maybe: main loom towards ECU?
Thanks! Best regards, Csaba

Remove the light switch and check for shorting on the pins at the back of the switch.
