I want to test some radios and cd changers. I have a power plug and a speaker plug from a ford and the wiring is not the same as a scorp. I have looked at the wiring on site and I think there is some mistakes in it. I need to know what pin is live, pin 1 I think and case of the radio negative. The speaker cable I think I can work out. Thanks, Gerald I dont want to remove my sony unit from the car to tey them there as its to much of a problem.

It would appear that I need to wire them to a car to test as I cant seem to find how to get them working with a live and earth.

I wasn't sure what you were asking in you're first post. I think I've tested them with just a battery for checking the display, but not tried connecting speakers or cd changer.

Hi Tompion What I am trying to do is test the 5 radios and three cd players I have. I thought it would be just a case of finding which wires on the plug were live and and earth and wire up some speakers put the code in and check them out. But it seems there is power from several places and a Radio Interface Module in there somewhere, not simple like I thought . Cheers Gerald

I think the interface module is just for the remote. Using the first table here: http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/radio995on.htm I patched a spare 7000 radio to a battery & played a cassette using these pins as shown in the table + to pins 1&3 - to pins 2&6 (6 is the same as grounding to the case) LF speaker should be 1&2 (not 7&2 as shown) I didn't test a CD player as I don't have a loom.
