Hello.
I have Ford Scorpio II Ghia 2.0i 16V (1995) VIN WF0FXXGAGFSY98448
I am searching the part you can see in this link with number 11
https://ford.7zap.com/en/car/96/no/0/2260/18183/79569/
DAMPER – SHAFT DRIVE
FORD 6500028
898T7L195AB
Two weeks ago it started making strange noises   in 1st, 3rd and 5th gear.
My mechanic has seen the part in bad condition. The car is stopped as a precaution. I precise the noise is .... feels like something scratching, especially when decelerating

I feel like a vibration when i put the gear in ...
Any suggestions?
Thankyou

Hi,

I don't recall seeing any previous posts about this, and as probably most of the dwindling number of owners on here have auto's which don't have this I suspect you'll be lucky to get a reply.

Good luck

Thankyou Dave for answering.
You have to excuse me but I do not understood very well what you said. Do you mean that probably no member of this forum had my trouble? And i might not get answered? Cry
Didn't you experience trouble like that i described? Someone told me it would be not the damper but CV joints ... what do you think?

I've read most of the posts over many years. There have been posts about other rubber components on the drive shaft but I don't recall seeing one about the damper on manual gearboxes.

My car is an auto & as far as I can make out that part isn't used on an auto, so not a problem I've had.
