Insurance in Ireland is a joke. It's the same price for me to insure a 2.0 8v scorpio as a nissan skyline 2.0 Gts-t for example.
For some reason they've decided to group scorpios 3 groups higher then my bmw, any of my sierras i've had, granadas and omegas, to name but a few. Seriously group 7 for a basic 2.0 8v scorpio and group 4 for a 2.0 sierra with a few mods? there are barely any scorpios over here anyway so i dont see how there could have bene many incidents involving them, plus they're mostly driven by guys over 40.
Try play it by the book and i get screwed over and have to pay for the huge numbers of uninsured people here.
Anyway rant over, just had to vent my frustration at yet another aspect of the disgracefully shambolic system we have here.
