Headlamp Adjustments

Can I start one here? 
Only 'cause I was trying to find out a while ago and it's not written down anywhere, not even on the Ford headlamp diagram. So before I forget...
In a previous life mine was often used for humping camping gear around hence I guess why the headlamps were 'too low' on dip. Cos of the weight.
Open bonnet ~ inboard of each headlamp are two white plastic screws with hollow hexagonal heads.
A 10mm ring spanner fits perfectly.
The one nearest the headlamp lens does left and right.
The one furthest away does up and down.
They don't screw in or out, the thread at the bottom pushes something up or down.
I figured if that's the case, then turning the furthest away adjuster anti-clockwise should raise dipped beam. It does.
Therefore, anti-clockwise to raise, clockwise to lower.
Not sure about left and right yet, but you get the idea.
WARNING ~ turn very small amounts if you haven't got a wall or something to shine them at, like rotating by one flat of the head (1/6th of a turn) makes a huge difference.
Terrific, I can now cruise at 70 in the dark and still see where I'm going.
2nd WARNING ~ the light pattern slopes up at the sides so if too high the offside dip will dazzle oncoming traffic in opposite lane(s) and the nearside dip rear view mirrors of vehicles you're overtaking.
