A Fix for your door pocket

Hello. Iv'e replaced my door pocket 3 times since iv'e had the car, because where it screws in by the seat computer it keeps breaking and it flops about. What i did about 2 months ago was to get a rubber grommet, 16mm Dia, the sort that is used for an electrical box that you can pull the wire through. super glue it in the broken hole push it in so it's flush. Don't stick your fingers together. And it sticks like pooh to a blanket. Use a washer on the screw Tony

Mine has large diameter washers between the pockets and the door card to prevent the screws breaking the pocket by pulling the lug into the soft door card. Does yours have them fitted?

being even more adventurous, I used to go to the scrap yard and get one that wasn't broken or I used one of the many spares I had!

What about drilling a 2-3mm hole through the turret about 3 -5mm from the door card side & the putting a 2-3mm split pin through. Bend the ends out to hold it & then, from the door card side, separate the split pin in the middle with a screwdriver so that the hole is large enough to get the screw though.....Works for me
