How did you manage that, my rear seat is hinged at the front so that it can be swung forward when you put the back of the seats down for more room. every sunday in my case for da flowers. I do remember my cousins 86 Granada Scorpio and it had electic back seat but it slid the base forward. I dont understand how that would work in the new Scorpios. But I may be wrong, I bet I am wrong. see all the confidance I have.. JJ

Yes, likewise on my old Granada. That feature can be carried over to the Scorpio as a modification though. Baz is one member who has done this successfully... on his 'old' red one.

when baz installed his (i was talking to him at derby),said the installation is quite an easy one, thought about doing it myself because thats the one thing the kids really do miss, but was not too sure about cutting the plastic about to put the switches in,also is the wiring straight forward ?

If you can lift the plastic wotsits from the Granada, they will fit straight in. Or... the Scorpio ones are easy enough to modify as they are only old Granada parts anyway and are marked on the underside where they should be cut. I looked into doing it as well, but decided it was too much hassle due to the wiring. I was also told "Yes the wiring is there - it just plugs in" but it doesn't. Well, not on my car anyway. I can only suggest that some Scorpios wiring looms are different in this respect. A bit like they differ when it comes to puddle lights!

yes it very easy if you find an old granny with the seats the bit with the switch clips ot (with 2 scews)and will fit in the scorpio if you take out the small loom from each side one wire to ground the other one i took to the rear window loom(under the rear kick plate on each side) you need to find the main live wire, this can also be controled by the switch on the centre consol te cut off the rear windows. hope thats of some help to you the only prpb is finding a granny with electric rear seats the motors have been discontinued by ford in 1994. jon.

90 golden nuggets? Erm.... nah! I'll pass on it. I looked at doing it when I had my old Granada and the Scorpio side by side, but gave up in the end. Decided it wasn't really worth it for me. Thing is, at the moment, there's no kids and I rarely have back seat passengers anyway. Hardly ever did with the Granada either. Only ever used the back seat 2or3 times myself.

Oh noooooooooo! You mean I'm turning into me dad? LOL You're right, I could get it done before we hear the patter of tiny feet I suppose. But then again, they could just sit there like good children and not play around with anything (can they actually do that?) And it would be 2 extra switches to pack up and go wrong.
