I have jusst finished re building a new cosworth engine. All new parts bearings rings, chains, sproketts chains guides, oil pump gaskett set you name it it is on it.I now have the task of removing the old engine and putting the new one in its place.I was wondering if anyone has any tips on the best way to tackle this project. I am by trade a Aircraft tech so a bit spanner pounding is not a problem I just need a bit of advice on the best way to go about this and what to look out for any tips or advice would be very helpful. Regards rich

dropping a scorp engine is pretty easy, if you can get the car high enough drop the front subframe with everything still attached. all you need to undo is the exhaust, prop and some pipes then the whole lot undoes on 4 large bolts into the front legs ive got a pic somewhere ill dig out

Yea you can pull them out the top but its not as easy, you'd need to unbold the auto box to get the most amount of play. the from the bottom method should have it out in a couple of hours
