Hello there, I'm new to the forum.
This is my 1998 R Blue Scorpio 2.9 24v. I'm in Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire.

I've not seen too many up this way.
I think there is me and possibly three others. I've seen a 2.3 in light purple, a 2.3 in Silver and a Black 24v being used as a taxi.

Give me a wave if see me. Jon.

Hi to you all out there. I am a bit late with this into the Welcome Section, having already posted and been welcomed as a site newbie.
I am based in UpHolland, West Lancashire, the car is a 1997 2.3 Scorpio Ultima Auto Estate in that rather unusual Light Metallic Blue with Black Leather Trim. If you see me in the car and then recognise me later in a Metallic Turquoise Volvo V70 T5 CD Auto with towing gear on the back then that is my regular Little Boy's Big Toy. Well at 4'10&1/2" I don't use Tonka Toys any more.
I was in Wigan on 2nd Jan in the Asda Car Park and spotted a Maroon coloured saloon about to leave, but I never got a reg' plate. Scorpios of Saloon or Estate variants, these are a bit like Rocking Horse Muck, me thinks.

Hi Rooster
Nice to see another local scorpio owner
I am based in Southport, I have also found out that we have 2ndgear (also Southport) and Tenfut (burscough) so maybe we can have a NW meet (as suggested by Tenfut) up in the near future?

Hi to everyone.  I've just found this section so thought I'd say hello. I used to own and run a maroon '98 (R) 2.3 Ghia Saloon but due to ill health I laid her up for almost three years. Unfortunately, the dreaded tin worm took hold and she seized up during this time. I didn't realise until I joined the forum that she was a facelift model as to my shame I had her stripped for parts and sold for scrap earlier this year after I bought my 1997 (P) Blue 2.3 Ghia X estate in April. The auto estate better suits my needs and I try to take her out at least once every 3-4 weeks as I want her to last as long as me, if not longer.  I live in Cardiff and would be very interested to know if there are many left in my neck of the woods.  Mine must be reasonably rare in this area as I have had quite a few people staring at her wondering what she is as I drive by.  I even had one chap stopping me at a petrol station in order to tell me how he regretted selling his over 10 years ago. I last saw another Scorpio on the road about three years ago. I don't have any photos of mine yet but I'll post some in the near future.
Bye for now, Tony. Undecided
