Tend to find the Scorpio has plenty of room for my zimmer frame, shopping and can still fit my pension in the glove box Grin Only joking i'm 34, glad to see that the younger generation appreciate Scorps, what do your mates think? It's a whole lot of car for a 21 year old, when i was 21 i was driving a Talbot Samba (A reg) 1 litre, slight difference Embarassed
Welcome to the site, keep posting/looking and you'll be amazed just how much some of these wonderful people know about these cars.
Guy.

I'm 42 so twice your age...God I feel old.... At your age I bought a 2.9 Granada Scorpio 4x4 in Raven black metallic! So I guess I had a Scorpio at 21 too!

Good on you.  You've got more car for your money than all your mates put together.

The Scorpio's are FABULOUS, and with every conceivable extra, who could wish for anything more.

Best drive on the road, and spot on with today's styles.

Enjoy........and

Hello mate and welcome aboard Cheesy

I've just turned a humble 22, bought my beloved Scorpio when I was 19. Nice car to have at my age, it looks quiet, expensive and the plod don't take a blind bit of notice of me wherever or whenever I go.

1996 State blue Ultima 2.3 auto, 12 spokes and raven velour...a lot of car for silly money. Leather trim is nice but the velour wears well for it's age, I'm not complaining Smiley.

You are a lucky devil with a Cossie, my insurance is still in the high hundreds for the 2.3. I'm still lusting over an older Jag to work on at weekends. Despite the power it's 'an old man's car' too; like with the Scorp, not the sort of motor the average chav would chuck around backstreets Wink.

My cousin calls these type of cars 'sleepers', nice to have some power tucked away quietly for when the yobs do harrass, big smiles even in the 2.3...

Regards, Bruce.

I had been the youngest at one point, now a month into being 20 (bye bye the good ole teen years  Cry) i may be the 2nd youngest now, possibly the youngest 24v owner (had it since i was 19) and most definately probably the youngest derv owner  Grin

As everyone says you get a lot of fast moving three peice suit equiped metal for your money  Grin My 200 quid (plus £45 for a new VSS) 170k  mile old cossie would always leave my mates £7grand zetec-s as a disappearing dot in the rear view mirror whenever he tried to race Cheesy

Insurance for the derv (when i was 19) stood me at £1200tpft (no thanks to the old dear that pulled out in front of me  Angry), the cossie would be £895tpft (yes, 300 cheaper than the derv) but i insure it on a 2 weekly basis as and when i need it, which is about £8 a week. Its £10 a week when i insure myself of my g/f's g reg mini thou!!

I maybe young but i love the scorp and wouldn't swap it for a chav mobile of any description!! or any crappy plastic ridden new car come to think of it.

I drive class 2 HGV a 15'9" double decker, I do Bridgend to Abergavenny then to Merthyr, back to plant in Bridgend to unload, then to Bristol and back to plant again. We've probably passed each other no end of times Grin
