The Scorp, although a bit juicy.......is like the Granada, an ideal Taxi (leather seats, lots of leg room etc ) & very cheap to buy..........so no loan payments The passengers love the luxury, & as I've found, always try to get in the Scorp rather than that tacky Ford Focus or Vauxhall Vectra that may be in front or behind.....especially the ones that want to go on longer journeys Put it like this....even though the Scorp is alot more expensive to run that a Focus diesel....I find people prefer it (costs the same on the meter as a no-leg room Focus), due to the pure luxury & comfort, & tend to ring me rather than the local large taxi company that run a fleet of Focus diesels

Thinking about that, I did see a nice auralis blue estate on the Ingrave road near Brentwood about a year back, thought how nice it would be to be driven around in a nice Scorpio taxi Regards, Bruce.

I ran a black Scorpio 2.3 ultima for three years as a private hire car in Newbury. As stated above everybody loved the comfort and the leather. Everything going all right until one night down the M27 the customer had said what a lovely quiet car it was when one piston exited through the side of the engine !
