I saw what looked like a green 'P' Reg Ultima. I think P795 JOO. There's another in Forres P610 E.... or something. Spoke to the chappy, and it's a 2.3 Ultima with a 'clunky' Auto-Box. There's another one goes around up here, seen it in Grantown-on-Spey, it's a SOV suffix, mines a MOV suffix. Funny how one sees more of the car you own! I'm just starting to get to grip with this mark, I've done plenty of car restoration work, and now I feel that I would like to get back into working on cars. My favourite car ever was a 1965 Wolseley 6/110. Closely followed by a Triumph 2.5Pi mark 1, aye, not the more common 2500Pi Mk2, mine had the TR5 Pi engine! Of course my wife thinks I'm now having some kind of mid-life (at 50's) car-crisis! I think she's right!! I'm trying to persuade her that I wil need a spares car for my suspected tiring Auto-box, "think of all the spares Iwould have", I say. Fortunately she really does like driving the 'smiling-frog' and particularly likes the heated seats, dipping mirror, and comfort compared to her puddle-jumping Getz.

Hey Highlander, I'll be thinking about that for sure, and not too long I think! I'm in contact with someone else on here that might have a whole car, if it is at the right price I may take him up on it. If not I will be thinking about some spares. Is your 'Box 'on-the-shelf' and would it go on my 1998 2.3 Ultima, old S... MOV, that I suspect is a very much earlier car! Nice clear red fluid I hope?

Yep, i have a couple of good 2.3 boxes i've kept, dont know why but i have them if you get stuck
