Spotted on BBC 1 in a new detective series called Luther
Looks as if it's being used as Luther's official car, couldn't make out whether it was a Ultima tho.

Did it belong to anyone on here ?

Edit:
Pffft.
30min's on and now he's driving an old Volvo,Huh
maybe the ole Scorp developed electrical problems.

I just did a few checks and i couldn't find that reg number..... Keeps saying it doesn't exsist...... No Tax. No insurance.... not on the database for insurance companies....... How do TV Companies do that ..... surely if they use a car in a programme it has to be taxed and insured if they use it on a public road.....

Maybe it was taxed etc,etc when the filming was done which could have been over 6 or 12 months ago, then off to the scrappy when their all done with it.

Don't say such horrible things about the Scorpio, let's think positive thoughts and they will be using it in the next series. The car looked to be in very good condition, anyway from the shots I watched last night.

Think these are the only two decent shots of it:

Looks like maybe a facelift? (front grill) in augergine. Look like alloy wheels so problee Ultima. No sign of badges near wing side indicator.

PS Luther wasn't driving it

Could be plate number was made up, p'raps not supposed to show real numbers on telly / films in case they get ripped off (i.e. cloned)

It was in the programme again tonight, masquerading as a police car with one of those magnetic blue lights on the roof.

Just remembered, can look this up with the DVLA vehicle search.

M582 RRD comes up as doesn't exist, so a made up number then. Thought it would be
