Thanks. But according to the Haighfield Caravan Park website, there are no touring pitches. Not sure if this covers caravans or tents or both, so will have to check with them. Ian

There is a Holiday Inn about 2 and a half miles away. Easier than dragging a caravan and I guess when you take into account pitch costs and additional fuel needed; less hassle and as cheap too. And someone else cooks your breakfast!!!

Yep i should be there Seeing as i'll be coming up from down south in Surrey i'll probably stay in York the Sat night and spend the day (Sat) there as i'v been meaning to go there for a while. If anyones coming from that direct and wants to go in convoy let me know Also, i know Harewood is a little way off yet, but i work for Ford and if anyone wishes for my to buy them some cheap bits on discount message me and i'll see how much they be. Is it the same arrangement this year where somebody arranges entry and we send them our cheques? Darren

It is a more the merrier kind of show which I can't come to this year There are cars of all shapes and sizes and most aren't any where near concours. There are a lot of owners clubs like minis, capris etc. and everyone just goes for a great day out. If you have kids, take them along because they have a fairground and all the stuff that kids like such as police cars, army stuff etc. Baz

Mine has a few rust patches, dents and generally scratched/faded/mismatched paintwork and they didn't kick me out last year. Just make sure to wash and vacuum it so it looks like it's had some care during it's lifetime! BTW, there was a word template floating around for people to put their details on and display in the window or on the dash - just general info about your car in particular. Darren

Darren (SECTOR-9) As you are local to me, do you fancy going up in convoy, so to speak? Ian

Would love to but the logistics might be tricky - I'll be taking a single mum and her son (as I did last year) but they live in Coventry so I'll probably be setting off from there around 6:30am. Of course, if I'm still living in Clifton at the time then I'll suggest they sleep over here as it's a bit closer, but that seems unlikely at the moment with the house being up for sale, etc. Darren P.S. Tracked down the damaged silver TD estate you saw - it was parked behind Wilkos in Clifton so is probably owned by somebody working at one of the shops. Next time I see it I'll put a note on for this site.

OK, well lets see how it goes. Interesting on the Silver estate. There is also a Dark blue (or maybe Aubergine) 2.3 estate in Maypole, Clifton. The guy bought my wood effect dash. Ian

Ha Ha! You would have to fight my missus for the wine Nic and I don't fancy your chances mate!! She may only be five foot three but she does like the wine and I have never managed to get one off her when she has a good grip on bottle!
