sundays are a winner, somewhere selling or close to 'good' food. I could suggest a couple of pubs, they are over the hills though as that's where I live .

note: Big green tank is on the wirral. Merseyscorp is in Liverpool, just before the border. Maybe somewhere around preston, chorley area? not too familiar with the pub/retaurants around there though! Theres a nice place on parbold hill (A5209) jct27 M6. Might be a bit too south/west for some?

Ok, just a suggestion (and it's only a couple of miles from where I grew up Shocked) but there is a meeting every month that you could try (don't worry, I live on the south coast these days so won't be there Wink)

Quote:
Gerrard Arms, 615, Bolton Rd, Aspull, Wigan, Lancashire WN2 1PZ
Tel: 01942 884783 for details

1st Thursday of the month at 8:30pm

It's just off the M61. The guy that organises it is "keymaster" and he posts details on GSO and Unleashed. If you don't mind "roughing it" with Mk III's and the odd other vehicle then it might at least be a good place to meet up and figure out what you want to do  Wink

I'll ask the man to drop in and give you details - don't think he has a Scorpio at the moment so it might not be possible.

Good luck with getting a meet organised - whatever you decide to do - it is always great to meet up with other owners and you do learn so much that way.

I'm only trying to help - no offence will be taken if you ignore this or tell me to s*d off for being a southern softie ROFL

I would also be interested in a lancs meet and would be coming from Stockport, the very best dates for me would be the third Sunday of a month as I am working most of the other Sundays. Re location for meet I think you could take a month of Sundays trying to please everyone. So just pick YOUR best and take it from there (as long as it is the third Sunday of the month!!!! Grin). Lets do it.

I HAVE WAITED A WHILE BEFORE SUGGESTING THIS VENUE TO GIVE OTHERS A CHANCE . I WILL NOT BE OFFENDED IN ANY WAY IF IT IS NOT TO PEOPES LIKING FOR ANY RESON . IT IS LOCAL TO ME AND THE FOOD IS USUALLY GOOD. THERE IS A LARGE CAR PARK SO WE COULD ENJOY SOME OUTDOOR SCORP VIEWING AND CHAT. IT IS NEXT TO A TRAVEL LODGE, YOU MAY SEE THE TRAVEL LODGE AS YOU PASS ON THE M62. NO TIME SUGGESTED.
