Pete,

you will see when you get the wheel, that because it has no buttons, the rubber sides of the wheel come right up to touch the airbag. You need to trim these sides using a very sharp stanley blade to the shape of the cruise buttons. The way I did Craigs was to take the old wheel off the car and put them side by side. That way you will see that the wheels are primarily the same.

The cruise buttons fix with two screws in each (torx 20 I think) on the wood one, you will see the raised posts where the screws fit, but they are covered up with rubber. Trim the top of the rubber, down to the metal. You will then have a little plug of rubber to remove. Then use the screws to cut the threads in the aluminium posts.

Once this is done, and the rubber sides have been trimed to accept the cruise buttons, you then need to transfer the buttons over and temp fix them in place with the screws. Make sure you take note as to where the wires run and where they connect.

The built in clips for the wires are mostly there, however, you may need a touch of hot melt glue just to keep a few of them in the right places. You will be able to judge where this is needed, if at all. The only other thing to note, is that there is a black wire which needs to be through jointed to one on the wood steering wheel. Again, you will be able to see this when the wheels are side by side. I never actually took any pictures when I did the one that Craig has, but I'm sure he will tell you that there is very little to tell between that one and one with the buttons already on. I would keep the old wheel as you can replace the cruise buttons back on it if you ever sell the car and then you can sell the wood wheel to someone on here!!

Any more questions, pm me and I will drop you my contact number and I may be able to talk you through it
