andrew... thats what i thought, still hankering after a 9000 vnr,but the disc is 2 years old now,the travel pilot is a "bit of grief" to fit, want to really stick with the factory look so thats what made me think about this one .... really want to get a sat nav system, and i know there are a lot of excellent systems out there (tom tom being 1 of them),but like i said, not too keen on bits just "sticking" on the dash....

They can be made to fit the Scorpio even though as Andrew says the scorpio is a 1.8DIN radio sized aperture. The hole can be made a little wider to accomodate the Ford MFD sat nav unit as above! I have one of these in the garage ready for when my beloved gets her Galaxy as these are the units fitted into the Galaxy. The models made up to 2000 had the non-dx units and the ones after 2000 had the DX versions which let you do postcode searching etc. It uses the same DX disks as the travelpilot, it justs uses more of the data on the disk to generate the maps. I have a spare dashboard and have tried it in the Scorpio for when we go to France again in December. It does fit but does need a bit of work When installed in the scorpio, Here is how the radio functions look: and the sat nav looks like this: I sold a Ford one about 3 weeks ago but it was the NON dx one and a bit limited with no postcode searching etc. you can also get a lead that allows video to be put into it and thus use it as a monitor as well.
