hi all, it pains me to write this advert, as i really LOVE my original ford sat nav system, and before i go on ebay with it, i would like to offer it to my friends on here.....

It will fit in the space that your normal stereo is in, (unless you have one of the very early ones) so if you have a 4000, 5000, 6000, or a 7000 stereo at present, it will fit straight in.

It has all the cd changer functions, and will plug directly into your car.

It has a colour screen, and voice guidance, as well as arrows, and maps.

Im only selling this now as i want a new toy, and the only way i can afford it, is to sell this.

It comes with a copy of the uk nav disc, the most up to date one ford have done (2003) although there is supposed to be a new version before the end of the year.

It looks great in the dash of the scorpio, as im sure anyone who has seen one will know.

It will also fit in a focus, fiesta, mondeo, transit, infact ANY ford which currently has ne of the above stereos fitted.

GO ON..... spoil yourself.... even if you know where your going, it looks GREAT and is well worth splashing out lots of dosh on!!

Im not giving it away though... as they appear to be VERY rare, and would have cost about 2 grand as a factory option.

Sensible offers or it goes on ebay.

If your interested, the ebay guide price is around the 400 mark....

EDIT.. just checked ebay, there have only been two sold in the last couple of months... Make me an offer if your interested, and maybe it will be yours..

Hi, my scorp has the old style stereo, I am currently looking for a new style radio. was looking for a 5000 system or equiv.
How easy would that be to install to my car.
Do you have the cd changer to go with it and possibly the plugs that go in the back. plus cd to radio lead. Dontsuppose you have any pics too.
Know Im asking loads, but dont want to buy a toy I cant use..
Like you I love gadgets. Will make an offer when sure about the item.. Cheers

yes i have the cd changer... BUT im replacing the radio that was in it previously, a 7000 system, so dont really wanna part with the changer and lead, but that should be easily available. Dont know how easy its gonna be to make it fit. I think you will need some dash modifications, but im sure someone will come along who has done it

it is compatible with a 5000 changer. all plugs on the back are the same as a 5000, 6000, or 7000. I took my 7000 out of the scorpio when i fitted this, and it was working in under 5 mins.

I dont have any pics, as i dont have a cam, but i found this on the net...

Have you considered my offer?

Been informed that they are pains to program
Do you have the manual?
Does it need a special antenna? Huh

Sorry to hijack but yes it needs a gps aerial, not so much a pain to program but time consuming. The road i live in is not even listed.

Their is a new cd apparently being released towards the end of this year
