Hi matt, yeah, it`s an ultima,95 model,24v cosworth ( of course!!). Met black with full biscuit leather. I`m looking to get my £250 back if possible. There does seem to be some interest in breaking, but only bits and bobs at the moment,i won`t and haven`t touched anything on it yet. Let me know what you think, i`ll be in work the next four day`s, but i`ll keep an eye on the computer.

hi vaughant,

ive just been reading your other topic on the problems section, sounds silly but have you tried giving the car a good run?

also whip off the breather pipe, when i bought my cossie it was all bunged up and could hardly breath. i would suggest whipping off the rocker covers and check for gunge/oil sludge, but it's a lot of work if your not going to keep the car

Hi matt, thanks for the tip, i could have a quick look i suppose, it wouldn`t do any harm!! I drove the car back about 5 miles when i first got it, car drove superbly, but smoke did not improve at all, and still appeared under hard acceleration, although not noticably worse. Regarding your question, i don`t think it would be a very good idea to drive it that far, no tax or mot& the smoke and excessive fuel consumption, your mate with a low loader seems a very good idea, if your west mids your approx 2hr`s from me, i MAY be able to deliver it some of the way at east as I have a towing dolly, albeit with rather weak ramps! As i said, i`m not looking to make a profit on this car, just get my £250 back, which means a good bargain for you!!If your genuinley interested, which you seem to be, get back to me on here or PM me your number and i`ll phone you for a chat. Kind regards, Vaughan.

cosworth - excessive fule consumption, sounds about right lol

i wouldnt take it down the motorway, to many things to catch you out on them.

i have a cossie myself and was thinking of joining the AA or RAC anyway, maybe i can get them to pick it up??

do you have any pics of the car??

TT

what car do you have? i have a 2.3 egr you can have for free, as it's stuck to the exhaust manifold (it would come off it you could get it in a vice)??

either collect or pay postage i can cut the manifold down to lighten it up a bit
