Good luck with the bidding. In the meantime THIS may help with your Cruise control. A common cause is the motor unit seizing up or the cable falling off the throttle linkage.

Thanks for that Simmo, the cruise system appears to be totally dead from the outset, no light on dash or control, but i'm sure it's something small and I'm being a bit lazy too!
