OBD2 Lead

I have one of the original OBD2 PWM leads available, complete with software and serial key which were ordered in a batch by forum members from Alex Peper at www.obd-2.com

http://www.obd-2.com/

In excellent condition, hardly used, still in original packaging, (I have since bought the Trican version to read the ABS codes and acquired an FDS2000 system)

This the one a lot of forum members use and which was used for explaining OBD2 on the main Ford Scorpio site.

http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/obd2a.htm

It doesnt just display the fault code like the majority of OBD2 scanners, the software can also display all the data in real time letting you pinpoint the problem(s)

Please Note  : This version will read all the codes apart from the ABS system and is NOT compatible with the 12v or diesel variants

You will need a laptop with a serial port to use it.

best offer over one million pounds gets it Wink

New ones are $122 ( £78 )

It all looks very complicated (I was lost to begin with as up until then I was still a points and plugs man!) but its fairly simple once you get your head round it

Hi Stuart

Is there any "how to" instructions with it or is just a case of jump in at the deep end? Wink

Hi Tony, if you read this page and the various (Sticky) posts in the OBD Advice section of the forum everything you need should be there, its just a bit confusing to begin with till you get used to it Smiley

You should be able to install the software, adjust the connection settings and start reading/clearing codes within minutes, although I'm still learning some of the more in depth stuff Smiley

Tony,

If you want to try the software go to http://www.obd-2.com/ and add “ve151all” without the quotes (I’ve separated the link otherwise it would start the download from here). You will be able to try the software & some sample scans that come with it.
Ver 151 is the last good version for the Scorpio that I’m aware of.
