hi there

i'm looking for the rear locking bits. not the lock. it's the bit with the plastic 'arm' that connects to the lock. also maybe the micro switch. comes with about 12" of wiring loom (running to the left as you look in).

cheers

do you have any photos Andrew? I know where there is an estate breaking at the moment with a damaged tailgate so more than likely the stuff is still on it

hi barry

mine isn't working. i've changed the lock but i'm not sure what's wrong. tailgate only works from the remote Huh still to figure out how it all works. not happy about that because i've got the dog in there. incase something happens etc.

btw, does anyone know what/ how the micro switch works? it's got 2 pin switches. that's about it. is it for the door open sensor?

Andrew, the blue coloured micro-switch attaches to the door lock mechanism and is the open door indicator (suprisingly!)

cheers guys

not had time to work on it, but it can't be any of those then. Huh

to recap, i can unlock only with the remote. pushing in the button doesn't work. can only assume there is wear in the white plastic 'disc' or on one of the connecting rods. or it could be something else all together! Wink

i'll find and fix it yet! Smiley

thanks for the input. i'll post in problems/advice if/when i find out more.

hi there

just an update.

found out why the tailgate would only unlock with the remote (different lock so can't use key). the micro switch was faulty. when you push the button in a white half-disc turn and opens the mico switch. this then powers the motor to unlock. the mico switch on mine wasn't powering the motor.

cheers barry for getting the bits for me.

Mine is doing the same most of the time.  Sometimes the button works but mostly not.  So it's a microswitch I need then?  Got any more Baz?

Oliver

P.S. I suppose I could nick it off my 2.0 estate.  I really must get around to selling it. Embarassed
