Greetings from the Great White North (altho' lately it's been the Great Soggy North! ) I have a bit of a problem. I've been cruising around all the auto wreckers and breakers here and I have no luck finding a auto dimming rear view mirror that works. I find all kinds that the little lights work, but they are deader than Elvis. Also I am looking for a Mass Airflow Sensor for the 2.9L (the Cossie one) for my engine project. Seems that I can convert my Ranger to Mass Airflow with the newer computer (verses the always richer than hell Speed Density) out of newer Ford Explorer, but I just need the right size MAF sensor to get it all together. Let me know if anybody has one of each they can stand to lose, or have a good lead on good parts. Thanks in advance! Geoff

There is a good supplier of Mirrors in The USA Gentex is the name and they work out a lot cheaper than the original Ford one http://www.gentex.com/auto_get_one.html They do a fitting kit as well and I know soemone on this forum has one fitted and is trialling it but cannot remember who!

Yeah....they're pretty sweet! Okay, scratch the mirror. Now I'm just looking for a MAF sensor.

Okay, scratch the MAF. Did some hunting around here and found a really good one off of a '97 3.0L Taurus Still looking at those neat rear view mirrors. I've tried to repair the stock ford units unsucessfully. I purchased 4 used units from the local pick'n'pull, checked which parts were good and bad, and tried to make one out of four. Looks like the IC inside of them is fragile as well as the motor.
