can anyone let me know where I can buy a good reasonable mileage engine for my 1995 scorpio ultima 24V sorpio automatic I live in south yorkshire but would pay to have the right engine delivered.does anyone have expreience of buying a replacement ebgine and their experiences and pitfalls to look out for when buying I have seen engines from £250-£750 plus V.A.T.
any advice most welcolme.thanks alot

have no real experience of this but I think that actually seeing and hearing it run (maybe even driving with it if still in a car) would be the best way to tell if the engine is any good, other than that you want evidence of recent work/care in the form of obviously new parts/bills.

117,000 miles and can be heard running in the car, its in a P Reg  
 
Listen for the chain rattle on start up and give it a good warm up, Ideally try and get an OBD scan but I think as the youngest of these cars is clocking on for 7 years old then short of buying a new Ford unit (££££'s) you pay your money and take your chance Smiley
