It's the rubber pipe bit that looks a bit like an elephants trunk on this page.

I've got one but where the other should be is an open hole - looks like the rubber bit's fallen off.

I've got a ;95 2L Ultima 16v so it's got the cruise control buttons on it.
On mine the stitching has all gone and the leather is hanging off 
I'll get a picture of the valve at the weekend.
