I've got one of a 96 cosworth estate I imagine they are the same, just to be sure I assume it's the door stay fitted to the car body and into the door. passenger side or drivers side, front or back

You have to remove the inside door panel to withdraw the stay from within the door. there's 3 screws on the edge of the door trim, 2 securing the door tray, screws are under the little plastic covers, a single large screw under the door handle.undo the door release trim screw but leave the handle in place, the panel is then secured by lugs which will pop off with a bit of careful pulling. and remove the speaker. you can then undo the stay 2 torx and 2 little nuts and withdraw it throught the opening where the speaker was. Good luck, door stay in post
