I bought one from Fords a few months back for about £15. As far as I know there is no pattern part.

thats what i paid for mine as well,word of warning when fitting it,dont over tighten it (looks like it should go in further on the manifold when its done up,dont be tempted to make it sit flush,youwill crack your manifold,then join the waiting list like all other 2.3 owners waiting for 1 of them as well) ......

You could cover the thread in red hermatite & only do it up to where it feels tightish. Craig has a point...the sender does seem to want to screw in right up to the manifold ...I didn't write 'illegal disc copy', I wrote t i g h t i s h .

hi guys, i bought one from fords for £16 although the guy behind the parts desk let slip its the same part as a mondeo so i went to the factors although they dont list a scorpio one they list the mondeo one and hey presto fitted and works fine £9 odd which is bit better. thanks scott
