Headlamp Washer Cover

Hi all

I seem to have lost the plastic pannel that sits on top of the headlight washer on the driver's side of my car (facelift front if that makes any difference).  I know it's hardly the most important part but the car looks rather tatty without it, so if anyone should have a spare I will happilly buy it.

Cheers

Not available as a seperate item I'm afraid Penguin.... Many have asked but no one seems to have any. All the cars I have ever seen in the breakers that have washers; none have the covers... Sad

are these covers flat? if so, would it be possible to make them out of brushed steel sheeting? or even carbon fibre sheeting? okay, they wouldnt be colour coded  (unless you paint em) but could look okay?

hi there

think there's 2 different designs. 1 for post facelift and 1 facelift. doesn't the facelift one have a 'bend/edge' in it?

possibly scorpio, just think 'homemade' ones using a suitable material could look good, brushed steel, titanium, chrome to match pre facelift headlights, carbon fibre for a more stealth look, and if needed the edges could be tidied up using the plastic strip you can buy for motorbike fairings/windshields.....

Thanks - I thought as much, I'll make something up tomorrow.

For tongiht - is there any risk in leaving the car parked without the thing - eg if it rains can water getting in there cause any damage?  If so should I cover it cover with electrical tape for the time being?

hi there

shouldn't be any problem with water/rain as the washer 'leg' gets a wee bit wet after it's been used.

might freeze up with the cold temp, though.

btw, if you stick it down, you'll forget and wash the screen with the lights on, and....... Grin
