Hi, Ford Scorpio members Could someone point me in the direction in finding two pipes for the secondary radiator at the front of the car for autofluid. Fords have discontinued the hoses and i cannot find them anywhere else. The pipes in question are Pipe 2 and 3 on this picture http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/leaks.htm under the title Automatic Transmission Radiator. If anyone has these or is breaking a 2.3 Auto with these on, could you PM me with the details. Thanks Caspa33

I had a problem with the long one leaking a while a go and found that if you can cut the bad bit out of the pipe a piece of 9mm fuel pipe secured at both ends by 2 jubilee clips does the job as there is no real pressure there

If not go to a hydraulic specialist they can make you a pipe up to length or even use small bore copper as stated there is NOT a lot of pressure

I had a similar leak on my old Granada Scorpio 2.9 - metal part of the pipe from the gearbox to the radiator had corroded badly ( near passenger side chassis rail ) and was dripping - local garage cut the rusty pipe out and used a piece of brake pipe - flared the ends out and used some hose clips - charged me £20 which I thought was pretty good.

Hi, thanks for the replys. I contacted a hydraulic specialist today who said that if i take of the old pipe and take it to them they could make it for about £20. does anybody know if i need the flexible parts at the ends of the pipes or would a solid pipe at the ends be ok. thanks caspathescorp

I would think it best to have the flexi at the ends otherwise with no give at all there is a possabillity of it snapping
