DIFF WANTED!!!!

Anybody out there in the Surrey area have a diff for a '97 2.9 12v Ultima?
My old man is in urgent need.

He is in Sutton and is not mechanically minded at all so any help would be appreciated if somebody has one to sell that is not on the car.
You can mail me at neil_handley@ipcmedia.com

Cheers
Neil

I also have one off from my cossie, I changed to a lower ratio one and kept the old one as it was working perfect. Not in a mad rush to sell it but I would let it go.

I have no idea! He has a friend mechanic who works on it for him. He has had loads of problems with it although it has done 165k or something!

I was just interested because i cant think of ever hearing about a diff going on a Scorpio, i've heard of people changing them only to find out that wasnt the problem, they do seem pretty bombproof although they are starting to get old now and your dads has done a good milage.

Anyone else had a diff go? or heard of one?

Highlander.
I've got a diff singing away in one of my funeral limos,it's only done 50000 miles,it was like it when I bought it a couple of years ago.Another one I had did the same thing,I took it out and got a gearbox man to put new bearings in,I reckon it would have whined away forever, but it got on my box!To date there have not been any diff disasters, just bearing hiss.
