I know it's a long shot, but I've spent the day upto my knees in mud in a scrapyard and I can't be bothered doing that again.

I didn't see that when I looked at the ad initially. These bloody headlamp washers are winding me up to the point where I'm just going to sell the whole car. I can't stand it when parts are a nightmare to get.

I've got a one off, turbocharged Range Rover that is easier to get bits for than this Scorpio, but I wouldn't want a non-facelift one so I'm beginning to think the best thing to do is walk away from the best part of 20 years driving Granadas (and the Scorp).

If you could, that'd be wonderful.

I've advertised the car on 'ere now. I'm fed up with looking for the washers, easier to just sell the whole car.

Sorry for inconvenience.

Is it the whole washer assemblies you need or just the covers? A few people have successfully fabricated them from plastic in the past and they look pretty good. A cost of paint and you'd never know.

as far as I can tell, it needs pretty much all of them. It's not had them since I bought it, there are a few random bits and bobs of pipework behind the bumper but no washers from what I can see.

They're the one thing that has annoyed me about the car since I bought it. I'm finally going to get the Range Rover fixed in the next couple of weeks, so the Scorpio will have less work to do then. It's been pretty reliable in the few months I've used it, and I was going to use it for a run to the Czech Republic in April if the Rangie wasn't working, but these things are irritating me now!!

I spent most of yesterday traipsing around scrapyards looking for Scorpios, found plenty of them, but not one facelift. Nearest I got was a bloke on Brasenose Road in Bootle who said "Don't get many of those in, if they're 24v I rip the engine out and weigh the rest in.."

Shame really as I quite like it. I'm just a fussy b'tard.

That's a b****r - I really need the caps for a facelift model for the washer jets. Mine got ripped off when a tyre came away from a lorry which I had no choice but to run over. Pushed the bumper back and the clips unclipped Sad

I was at my local Ford Dealer today and priced up the washer jets. £65.50.
