the ones in the door pillar are on the Mondeos aren't they? I thought the Granada and Scorpio estates had the same ones as the saloon which are a seperate unit above the door pillar plastic and fitted to a plastic mounting below the headlining with a hole in the lining for the unit to fit into?

Mine were mounted just behind the door pillar, these were fitted as a cost option on these models, I never took much notice of them but when I sold the car, the new owner was quite taken up with them, somewhat new technology back then maybe.... I would think that if they are fitted to Mondeos they will probably fit the scorp too, unless snoopy has some..... hth pete

Further to above, when I stripped my 2lt Scorp 95 I don't recall any wireing being available in the roof lining for these units which I would have thought being an option there would have been, I may be wrong but maybe it isn't an available addon for the Scorp, thus would have to be wired in... It is however a surprisingly simple job to drop the headlining down to have a look/Fit sensors. Would be interesting... Pete

I've wondered about retro-fitting these myself but as Pete says, if the wiring ain't there, maybe this is not possible. I know my '93 Granada Scorpio estate had them. From previous Fords, usually the main loom has all the wiring in place for all available options and then parts are connected using smaller separate looms. My XR4i didn't originally have central locking or electric windows but the connections were all there on the main loom - couple of trips to a breakers yard for all the parts including relevant looms and hey presto - factory fit options !

Snoopy, If you can tell me how to fit these sensors to the excisting wiring loom, I would like to buy them. Please let me know your price. They have to be shipped to the Netherlands. Can I pay by PayPal? Best regards, Gerhard.

They just plug into the existing Alarm system as far as I am aware . The brackets for fitting to the top of the door pillars are not with it ( There should be two I only have one ) Make me an offer including postage to EU and I will consider . I will check weight and postage costs to Eu for you.
