Off side rear hub - Urgent

The garage managed to put the new bearings in by pressing them in by hand. Hub is apparently worn - does anyone have one? Preferably near Manchester, but I do need this quickly as the car is my daily driver. Thanks in advance Geoff

try steve savill, he's a scorp breaker in essex, he's numbers 07761246096, i was over there a few weeks ago i seem to remember he had some, just say phil (with the td) put you onto him. when you or the garage fit the hub nut, i think it needs doing up to about 200lb of torque which is a lot, if not they fail again, check on the service pages of the site though...

Phill is correct re the hub nut torque. This 'poundage' is way above the normal DIY wrenches and needs a large 3/4 drive wrench to achieve it. The other tip is to check the nut again after a few hundreds miles to ensure it is still correctly tightened.

Hubs in demand this week... Hi there, following a disastrous attempt to change a rear wheel bearing resulting in the destruction of n/s hub carrier and brand new hub (oh the joys of owning a Scorpio ) is there any-one out there who has a n/s hub unit (hub and carrier) for sale for a '96 Cosworth?
