| That will be cool Gozz (pardon the pun ) Car is going into aircon company this coming week for a fault finding check, guy said 99% faulty sensor and if I could get hold of a known working one it would make his diagnosis a lot easier and a quicker fix. I was told by him that he could bypass it but would be risky if I forgot to switch the system off now and again. R. Rod

lesterlad.our daughters 2.3 has just been regassed,i put another condensor on,due to damage to the one that was on the car,a friend of mine who is a air/con engineer regassed the system last friday, but the compressor would not run...to cut a long story short....in our case it was (and still is) due to the de-icing switch stuck open..so no current is going to the compressor,i un-pluged the de-icing switch at the blower box and bridged out pins 1 and 2 on the plug (loom side)..compressor runs..so its out with the old de-icing switch and in with a new one..but first im going to see if i can see why the switch is not closing..must be worth a look..hope yours turns out ok ...regards den.

| As far as I know Gazza, yes they do but to order, I inquired sometime last year and they could get them, although at a price, 70 quid a piece, I was skint at the time so couldn't afford it. I was hoping they would give me one FOC in return for keeping another flagship ford working as it should, but it was a case of two hopes......Bob Hope and No Hope

Had mine errrrm "temporally modified" last week, AirCon techi disconnected the de-icer which was kaput and spliced a relay in to the loom, the only downside is I have to switch aircon off manually to prevent the ice from building up and blocking the airflow. As a guide to the vents output temperature I have shoved a digital temp gauge probe into one of the vents and the lowest it has gone down to is -17 on low fan speed...yes that's minus 17deg Opened the bonnet and was greeted by a whiteout over the blower box This evening on my two mile journey home it went down to -4 I will be at Harewood so it can seen how it was done and the relay that was used. Gozz is bringing me a sensor to Harewood so I can have it working properly.
