Help! autobox oil cooler required

Hi, Does anyone have a spare good autobox oil cooler matrix, (the little one behind the front bumper) its for my 1997 2.0l 16V, I was replacing the steering rack at the weekend, pushed the pipe up to make room and 'crack' one of the pipe stubs has sheared off. "Que much colourful language Angry" Perhaps Mr Highlander and his amazing parts emporium may be able to help me! I'm happy to pay for a good one and postage, or make a donation to the website. thanks, Bikerdon.

Sorry not got one, as you've discovered they are very very delicate, I very rarely get one off in one piece.  Undecided

As a wee addition... I,ve seen a lot of Scorpios where the cooler has been bypassed or removed completely just by joining the hose ends together, doesnt seem to affect the gearbox, I know a new one is around £150  Shocked

Thanks Highlander. Yup they're delicate ok! the thought of bypassing it had crossed my mind but wasnt sure if it would cause problems, seems like its the way to go. I'm thinking a coil of copper microbore wound round the old one could be an option as well.

Bikerdon.
You could of course obtain an after market add on one from a gearbox or rad man, they strap on the front of the rad/condenser.

Thats great, will check the dimensions etc and hopefully let you know on sunday night, they sound about right though, both connection pipes are on the same end that I am sure of due to the fact of me breaking one off, no idea about price though, will leave that up to you to suggest one, I can pay you by paypal if that suits you better. Thanks again, Bikerdon.

Hi Ghia x, ok I've got some measurements, (approx) 19 inches in length, about 2.5 inches deep and roughly 1.5 to 1.75 inches wide, both pipe connections are on the same end and look about 8-10 mm in diameter. Not the easiest to measure while its still on the car. Bikerdon.
