Lost the key somehow, I'm not sure if they're all the same? Has anyone got one, or offer advice other than the local Ford people who wanted 60 quid! If someone has one, and an e-mail address, I'll PayPal the money!!!!! ;D

hi there is it the outer plate key (16" wheels) or the one that's a wheel nut? the outer one can be taken off with a pair of pointed pliers. the wheel nut can be removed by most of the tyre places. hth

I need to get the wheel off, as the hub has gone, so I was hoping not to have to take it to a garage, as I'll have to work on her at some point!! The only kits available seem to be around the 40 quid mark, which seems daft as I only need the key! Ideas?

If you examine the locking wheel nut VERY carefully you might still be able to find the ID letter stamped on it.... If so go to any GOOD FMD and they should be able to supply a new wheel nut key.

The other way, if it does not have a 'shield' on it is to hammer an old socket over it and try that.

| You can "remove" the shield with a good chisel
