Hi...mine has some rusting ...looking  for a new lid or if used tourmallard green...also is it easy to change?

Easy to change after disconnecting wiring and springs. You'll need another pair of hands when you unbolt the lid - quite heavy.

and one spring wont hold the boot lid up, it'll let you think it does just long enough to get your head underneath it.

so I assume springs are difficult to remove/replace by that comment?  ...maybe i will put off removing and get resprayed

They are under a good bit of tension, i can remove them on my own but only just, a good idea is to put a bit of rope round the hook on the end and get someone else to pull the rope and take the tension, getting a good grip is more the issue, you can only really get one hand on them
 
A glove is a good idea to prevent your skin getting nipped once the spring is off and the coils close Wink
