Thermal Fuse thingy

Does anyone have a thingamajig that sits on top of the blowerbox which controls the speed of the blower ?
Mine is only blowing on position 3 (was working on 1-2-3 until I came to leave Harewood) Sad
I know they can be repaired by using a soldering iron but I am useless at soldering.

Well went to FMD today to see if they are still stocked, to my suprise they are available next day but at a cost (as usual) £51.77 inc vat and no returns.
To be honest the parts guy (young lad)wasn't 100% sure if the one he quoted for was for cc or manual a/c, he gave me the numbers so I could ask on here, are they correct ?
part # 89GG/18B647/A (or B)
finis 6636596

Going to a scrappys come the weekend to see what I can find, almost certain the MKIII granada used the same one.

For £51.77 then it's most likely the thermal fuse for the manual aircon. The blower control (HBC) for the climate control is over £100 new from FMD  Smiley

If that's the thing with the PC cable coming out of it, I took one out of a 1998 saloon today, yours if you want it.
Or tell me where it is, looks like and I'll take it out Smiley

If the car you have taken/taking it out of has Climate Control it'll be the wrong type for mine.
