Looking for the retaining clip for the selector arm, this is a large spring clip, and not the small one as shown in pic 26 on g/box assy/removal

Have you tried a Ford main dealer to see if the part is still available ? What pic are you looking at ?

In the repair section on g/box. tried expaining it over the phone to dealer but without actually being there to point it out on fiche, is very hard. Vist a dealer is a long trip so has to tie in with other bits as well.

It is a large clip not unlike those that hold a door lock in place in principle. It holds the control armo not its shaft on the g/box wish I could explain it better.

Now let's hope it's available. Seems to be one of those really cheap items. Anyway, although in Russian this elcats.ru site is the best catalogue site since ford-xpert.com went offline. Shame though technical numbers aren't listed.

Contacted my usual Ford dealer for this clip and the small plastic cover for the retaining screw that holds the trim covering access to the drivers mirror. Both available BUT only in the following quantities clip = 25 and cap 15. He tried another source and could get them but then found out the call had been routed to another branch miles away. Never thought it would be so hard, trying another dealer monday.
