Hi

I am looking for a new hose for a 24V R reg model.
It is the one that goes from above the thermostat into the water housing in the engine and can be seen as part 12 on the following page on the diagram under cosworth cylinder heads.
http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/leaks.htm

Please email me at wolfblood@blueyonder.co.uk with any availability.

Cheers
Dean

That hose is what went on my Cossie and what finally got me to get rid of it and buy the S Class!! The hose isn't available from Ford anymore as a new part, not available from Fordparts and is usually broken on any second hand engine that I found!

Thanks for looking anyway Tons of Fun.
Have given a copy of the diagram from:
http://www.fordscorpio.co.uk/leaks.htm
to a mate who delivers parts to see if he can find anything in any of their catalogues as one of their suppliers managed to find me an exact match for the top hose a bit back.

It is a weird hose because it starts off as a pipe with about 38-40mm diameter and ends up passing through the cylinder head down to about 25mm with a few twists and turns on the way.

Good luck in sourcing one though WB

I've seen silicone hose parts on ebay - bends of every angle and size and also reducer fittings and straight / flexible hose pipe - might be worth investigating and seeing if you can make something up.
At least silicone should last longer than rubber.
I'm going to have to do something similar on my Sierra XR4i as I know Ford don't have the hoses any longer.

Good luck !

Hi Scorpio Mike

I have seen the ones on ebay too but unfortunately I can't take the hose off to see what combinations would work until I am ready to put a new one in as can't leave the car at my mates garage. Am also unsure if there would be room to join different sized pipes and put on the clips as it goes through the engine.

Received a hose sent today but it was the wrong one Sad.
