Hi Alan,

If you can't find a good 24v one cheaply then what a few of us have done is to fit any other Scorpio automatic radiator, from the 16v, or 12v all that you need to do is change the header tank to the two pipe version instead of the 24v's three pipe one.

All the autobox pipes should be the same, eg 2.0, 2.3 etc

12v might be different, will find out.

Stuart.
The 12v has the fan switch in the O/S tank, but that could be left in of course.Alan could blank off the third pipe on the header tank with a piece of tube and a bolt.

Thanks for the replies but when i bought the car it already had this pipe work done and since the pipe came off (whilst driving on motorway) i got another pipe and had it put on but since then its started to leak.

ALAN.
See previous posts regarding whether or not you really need the secondary cooler ! it can be bypassed by connecting it's pipes together, thus leaving the radiator cooler to do the job.

Hi Alan ,
yes it is that radiator and it has the pipes to the gearbox and to the main radiator still attached. I guess you can have the other pipe from gearbox to radiator as well if You want it.

I just need to check if We are going to use the main radiator in our project before I can say if it is for sale. I will know this evening.

I am hoping to make My trip to Coventry ( M6 Junc3) tomorrow afternoon getting there about 5pm , is this any good for You ?

Cheers

Hi Alan,
I have arranged my other pick up for 5pm tomorrow which should only take a few minutes , so I can meet you somewhere around burton-upon-trent at about 5:30pm. I will have a look at a map tonight and find a suitable place that should be convenient for us both.

My main radiator is surplus to requirements so if you want it for £50 it's yours too.

I will send you a message via profile with my mobile number.

Cheers
Geoff

Hi Alan,
I reckon the best place to meet is at the junction of the A50 and the A38 just above Burton upon trent , there is a big roundabout at this junction and the A5008 (or B500Cool is the only small road off of the two major ones. We should be able to park up on this road just away from the roundabout. probably take approx 45-60 minutes for each of us to get there  so plan to meet at 18:00 if that's ok. I have sent you my mobile number so give me a call when You are there or getting close.

See you tomorrow.

Geoff.

Hi Alan ,
nice to meet You yesterday , sorry you had to wait for a while.
We now have the enigne out so can remove the longer pipes to the gearbox. If you text me the address to send them to and make a £10 donation to the forum that will cover the courier cost.
