I currently have 2 steel wheels that were spares. 1 with a 195 tyre on it, 1 with a 205 tyre on it. I'm hoping to get 2 more steel wheels with or without tyres on them. Problem being I'm North Scotland. If anyone has a couple of good steel rims then I can try and arrange carriage, same if they have decent tyres on them, but if the tyres are no-use then best the tyres come off. Also, does anyone know if rims off of other Fords are the same? Peter.

I have 1 steel with a 195 tyre on it - brand new, never used but probably 10+ years old now. Yours for a small donation to the site if you want it and are prepared to arrange carriage. Happy to stick it in a bin liner and put a label on it. Just cluttering up my shed at the moment.

That sounds good Mike. Could you PM me your house address, and let me ask around about carriage. I've also got a couple of bids up on ebay, so things might not happen very quickly. I bet the tyre is a firestone firehawk, that's what's on mine, it also hasn't been on the road! If you want the carriage to start from your work, because it's likely to be picked-up during the day, that's no probs either, but I'll need the addy. Thanks Pete

Trev As you can see from above, I've replied to Mike, and have others in the pipe-line from ebay. Let me just slow-up a little bit here, and see what happens on ebay, and get the sp from Mike. Thanks for the reply. Pete

Got DHL highlands and Islands to do it. £18. I kept trying all suggested, but as soon as I put my post-code in, they said they didn't deliver to that address. I'm sick to death of companies on the internet saying they deliver to Mainland UK for free, and yet when you ask they say it'll cost an extra £10 or sometimes more for delivery. I have reported about half a dozen companies for this statement to OFT and I look on their web-sites now and they no longer make that statement. Even though I'm at least four hours North of the border, I'm still on the 'mainland', I've even had one company argue that I'm NOT on the mainland! Ignorant git. Pete

| I fully sympathize with you. Here in Northern Ireland, a part of the United Kingdom, we get treated as third-class citizens when it comes to transportation. If sending a parcel by Royal Mail to the far side of NI I get charged about the same as if I were to send it to Glasgow. Further North & South and it costs more, to London and the very South and it cost even more. These costs would be the same for someone in the very North or South of the country sending a parcel either way. Try sending a parcel from anywhere in the mainland to NI; you will pay more than I do to send it the opposite way. Courier companies are worst of all. As soon as you mention sending anything to Northern Ireland, £ signs roll around in their eyes! Typically they put between £20 to £50 extra on the carriage. I previously used CityLink for transporting goods to NI as they were the most reliable and the cheapest (@ £15 extra). I can understand that there should be a excess charge for NI deliveries but most couriers go overboard. It should not cost the earth to move goods from one end of the country to the other - lorries are going up and down the country on regular basis, half the time they are empty. If the logistics companies got themselves organised they could move goods at a lot less than they charge now. I have been on Shiply.co.uk today trying to organise the transport of a garden shredder to NI. Got two quotes, one of £100 and the other of £85, both of which I find extrortionate. I was looking through the other requests and I could see that a lorry could pick up goods on the way down the country for delivery in the South and collect goods on the way back up for delivery in the North. Everybody has to make a living but how high do they have to live? Tom
