Thanx BAZ!
I now have a full 4 wheels after my purchase of the last chrome wheel from our teutonic friends Dussoldorf way.
Now all I need is 4 new tyres for about £50 and I'm laughing!
Many thanks
 Much appreciated
I will post a shiny picture of the pimp-mobile after fitment!
regards

Matt,

What's better looking the 16inch 12 spokes or the 17 inch soft 7 spoke?

I've been looking out for a nice set of 17inch Ford original Scorpio alloys for my wife's 2.3 Facelift

Hi Simon

If you look in the news section, then the hose topic baz put a pic of his old scorpio on there that had the 17 inch soft wheels which were a ford option for the scorpio and can still be bought off ford. They hold there price well and not so common on ebay

If you want to spend more then your car is worth then you could try and get a set of the rs diamond cut wheels, (whats fitted to mine) they are super rare to find and even harder to get a good set, ford no longer sell them hence why if any do come up expect them to go for around a grand and still need the correct size tyre (just as bonnie  Tongue) they did a 16 inch version to

The focus multi spokes fit bit look crap imo on the scorpio

Other then that its aftermarket wheels

No...you're all wrong..what you need are pimpy-dealer chrome 12 spokes...ULTRA rare they are...well ultra rare to find the chrome still on them that is.....
And..on the money that you save on NOT buying diamond cuts+tyres..you can get new Alcantara seats for your Racing Puma..a BRAND new steering wheel, a set of Eibach shocks front and rear...alcon discs....Carbon splitter...new rear calipers...full set of original 17" alloys... a matching set of Avon 215/40/17 ZZ3's...new rear brake cable...Oh..the dagger..it wasn't dull and was twisted so...........

Glad to heat the racing puma had got some new goodies, try not to allow to much brake dust on the chromes, that starts the peeling process

Was the tv set a merc option or aftermarket?

Good point about the brake dust...I have also to fit  a set of Gold anodised Brembo drilled race discs and Ferodo DS2500 fast road pads...also..a nice set of red coated stainless hoses too...What with chrome wheels its going to be a "Tart's Handbag" isn't it?
Excellent....
That Puma is so d**ned pretty though....thinks..."must stop spending money on the Puma...must stop spending money on the Puma...must stop spen..........."

Those 7 spokes off Baz's S29 COS are still turning on my car, however I am thinking of going back to 12 spokes so watch this space!!

Matt

I fitted it using the genuine TV tuner and wiring looms so I have it on the big screen in the front (up to 5kmh) and on the rear entertainment screens (and works well up to about 80mph)

It was a seats out job and then the whole lot had to be coded into the car using star diagnostics (thankfully I have the full merc system!!)

took 2 full days to do it properly!

I liked the 7 spokes Tony, I just didn't like the additional cost of the tyres! The F1's that were on when you bought them were over £100.00 each!

I bought a set of 12 spoke 16" chromes back in 2002 for my old 2.0 Ghia manual.....

I remember I paid £80 for all four rims from a breakers yard & £160 for a new set of budget 225/50/16s to put on them.

They looked fantastic for a while, until bits of the chrome started to peel off, leaving a red oxide looking base coat  Sad

I seem to remember reading at the time, that there was a problem with the chrome peeling on many of these wheels due to a faulty chemical process during manufacture.

Hopefully yours are good ones & will last  Smiley

For some strange reason you have to change the bracketed [IMG] both ends of the link to lower case [img].
