Sunroor motor and cables required please. 2.3 Ultima Sunroof got extremely sticky over the winter, and is now stuck shut with graunching noises coming from the motor.

Wbph, If it's just the motor,I think I have one available. Do as Highlander suggests and take off the motor and have a look at the plastic cog that connects to the sunroof. The cog can strip quite easily. When the motor has been replaced, you will probably require a little bit of force while pushing the sunroof button to open the roof itself. Once opened, grease where applicable from the link that was sent to you. HTH Lee

Yep the control cables will be seizing up putting more pressure on the plastic cog. I believe someone found a replacement for the cog at one time but its easier just getting another motor Make sure you get the guides free and greased first or it'll just strip the cog again. Once the motor is off the sunroof can be moved by hand, although it probably won't be easy to begin with
