LHS Door Mirror

Hi guys, Anybody got a spare left side door mirror, mine was kicked off by a vandal while parked outside my uncle's house. I got one off Lee a while back, got it out the loft today then found the internal hinge linkage is broken on that as well, so is N/OP. Ta in advance PS does not need the heater wiring gubbins or whatever it is if it helps, only uses 5 wires for adjustment only. (1 5-pin plug as far as I can tell) but if does have 2 plugs the other is just unused I guess.

Mike The other plug is for reverse dip. Is the one from Lee definitely broken? It can be quite difficult getting the hinges to go back if they’ve never had grease on the face of the locating springs.

| Yes it's in two separate parts only joined together by the electric lead Only thing that was previously holding it together was one of the popper clip thingies. Agree about the grease though, can get quite a bit of corrosion going on in there!

Mike, Both mirrors you had from me were both working and serviceable . I had no issues with them before I took them off, no movement and the dipping was working. Are you sure it's broken? Lee

Why would you? lol A picture is worth etcetera... The joint was a bit loose and rattled, I thought this odd so thought I'd better try opening it to make sure, lol

Amazing how much you miss a door mirror when you haven't got one! Hitherto I would've said I relied on the interior rearview mirror most.

| I'm the complete opposite to you Mike, having driven HGV's and Luton vans for most of my life I seem to have lost the habit of looking in the rear view mirror, I don't suppose it would bother me if it wasn't there.

You might be pleased to know done it today at last (nice day for it too). As often happens didn't take as long as I thought.... Front screw needed an impact driver and (as we know lol) getting the (replacement) cable connectors through was a total complete pain in the backside Had to use a loop of thick copper wire to help pull them through. I think at the factory they did this bit before they put the window control module in (?) Anyway all works
