Hi all Has anyone on here got any reccaro seats in their scorpio? Just wondered how rare they are. How hard would it be to find a full set for sale and fit into my 24v? Not looking yet as i aint got the cash but just an idea ive had for somtime in the future. Ant photos would be nice because ive never seen a set properly only in the brouchures!! Dan

Daniel... The recaros are an aquired taste to be honest; if you are on the larger size they can be very uncomfortable. They are also not as hard wearing as the leather seats as the side bolsters get rubbed everytime you get in and out of the car so after more than a decade of inning and outing, most available now will already be damaged!! They also do not have heater functions and only very limited electrical movement and would be no good in a very late car with side airbags as they weren't available with that feature so the airbag warning light would be constantly illuminated and thus be an MOT failure! Personally I could never understand why anyone would want what in effect are racing seats in a big motorway cruiser.... they are OK in Escort rally cars, but not a Scorpio!!

Most uncomfortable seat in the world if you ask me. Why anyone would want to swap seats that are second only to range Rover seats in a scorpio must be mad or 12 . But that's only my opinion.

I had Recaro's in a Mk2 Granada estate - factory fitted, very comfortable even after 230k miles. Only wish I'd kept 'em

| Nope, they went with the car...the buyer said he wanted to restore it but sadly I think it ended up going round a track
